________________ Firewall is a specialized software, residing in a gateway through which all communications must pass to reach enterprises' networks. Thus communication is logged and monitored for security. Computer viruses are the most common way to destroy companies data. Many anti-virus technologies are available in the market to protect companies' databases. Authentication - is a means to ensure that the right people are using the network resources. Many techniques (such as passwords, one-time-session-password, finger prints, voice recognition) have been devised to seek user validation. Encryption - is a technique to manipulate data into indecipherable form before being transmitted. At the receiving end data is changed back to its original form.
