_________________ __________ Major components of an FDDI networks are: Dual Access Stations, Single Access Stations and Concentrators. Most FDDI networks contain concentrators with few DAS on the main ring. Most devices are connected to the main ring concentrators. Dual Attached Stations (DAS): These stations support the secondary ring which provides survivability from a cable break or failed station. Single Attached Station (SAS): These stations are attached to the network and do not have redundancy. SAS are connected to the main ring through concentrators.
Wiring Concentrators: allow a facility to connect stations and provide for re-configuration. They also serve to isolate troubleshooting through a concentration point.
