Many technologies are available for enterprise networking. This is one of the major growing segments in the communications market. LANs have grown from 10 M bps Ethernet to 1000 M bps Ethernet LANs. There is talk of 10,000 M bps Ethernet LAN. MANs have evolved to offer high-bandwidth using DWDM technologies.
