                                                                                                   ________________

The service can be either time-sensitive, that it does not tolerate delays in the network or non-time-sensitive. Voice is a time-sensitive service, the same as video services. Bursty traffic services, such as LAN, send data in bursts while continuous traffic services, such as entertainment video, send data continuously.

Networks are designed to accommodate the service characteristics.
