_________________ __________ Intranet is a private version of the Internet that lets people within an organization exchange information using popular Internet tools such as a browser. Most Intranets are a collection of Web-sites (departmental Web-sites - Human Resources, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Engineering etc.) belonging to a corporation or members with common interests. Web sites are connected via communications facilities and use Internet technology to exchange information. Intranets are used to disseminate information and forms for the employees, procedure manuals, expense and requisition forms, newsletters, product information, internal job openings, employee telephone directory etc.
