Many residential and business customers use dial-up and DS-0 services. Private Line service is also very popular with the small and medium sized companies.

Dial-up Service - This service is popular with the Internet users. 33 K bps and 56 K bps access lines to the Internet Service Providers are offered by the telephone companies at reasonable rates compared to high speed Internet connection. More and more Internet users are migrating to high speed Cable or ADSL lines.

Private Line Service - Voice-grade or conditioned Private Line services are available from the telephone companies. The conditioned Private Line facilities guarantee the error performance. These facilities are normally used to connect multiplexer networks.

DS-0 Service - A clear channel used for multiple voice and data channels.
