ATM is a standard for the cell-based transmission of voice, data, and video information. The ATM cell size is fixed - 53 bytes including a 5 bytes header and a 48 bytes payload or information field. User Network Interface (UNI) and Network to Network Interface (NNI) use of headers are slightly different.
